Meet NEET 2018 All India Rank Holder at Number 6. This is Varun Muppidi, who has scored 685 out of 720. NEET 2018 Result was declared today, i.e. on June 04, 2018 at 12:15 PM. The wait of 12,69,922 candidates came to an end today. The top 10 candidates of NEET 2018 are Kalpana Kumari from Bihar, Rohan Purohit from Telangana, Himanshu Sharma from Delhi, Aarosh Dhamija from Delhi, Prince Choudhary from Rajasthan, Varun Muppidi, Agrawal Krishna Ashish from Maharashtra, Ankadala Anirudh Babu from Andhra Pradesh,  Madhavan Gupta from Punjab,  Ramneek Kaur Mahal from Punjab.

Out of the top 10 candidates, 2 are girls. AIR 1 is bagged by Kalpana Kumari from Bihar. Her overall percentile is 99.99 percentile. She has obtained 171 out of 180 in physics, 160 out of 180 in Chemistry, 360 out of 360 in Biology (Biology and Zoology). Overall her score is 691 out of 720.

Marks range of top 25 rank holders of NEET was 681-697. NEET 2018 Cutoff has been disclosed with the announcement of the result. The cutoff has dropped heavily this year. Below table indicates the NEET 2018 Cutoffs:

This year more female candidates have participated ion NEET UG 2018 as compared to boys and as a result, more girls have qualified in the examination. Also, as it is clear from the statistics above, the cutoff has dropped heavily. he number of candidates who fall in the range of 50th percentile must have scored between 691 to 119 in the unreserved category. Whereas for the OBC category the cutoff percentile is 40 for the candidates who have scored between 118 and 96. For sc and ST too the cutoff percentile remain 40, and the score range also remains the same which is 118 to 96 marks.

Whereas last year the cutoff marks were much higher. For unreserved category, the cutoff percentile was 50, but the marks range was 697 – 131. For SC, ST, and OBC the cutoff percentile was 40, and the score range was 130 to 107.

This year the number of candidates who are in the 50th percentile group are 6,34,897. Whereas last year the number of candidates who have qualified for the 50th percentile group were 5,43,473 in the general category. Also, last year, a total of 6,11,739 students qualified the exam. In the top 25 scorers, there were 9 girls and 16 boys.

The best performing states of NEET 2018 are Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana and Andhra Pradesh.

Maximum number of students – 9,13,033 – took NEET in English language. Next comes Hindi which was taken by 1,20,663 students. English and Hindi together made for a combined 90.75% participation. Next most popular language was Gujarati which was opted by 47,853 students. After that came Bengali which 34,417 students had selected. Tamil was also popular with 15,206 takers. Although there were many controversies in NEET 2018 regarding the regional language question papers, the result revealed that no bonus marks were awarded.
