SCTIMST 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. Eligibility Criteria for Master Of Public Health (MPH)
    Following are the requirements that a candidate must fulfil before filling up the application form:
    Minimum Educational Qualification: Medical graduates (MBBS), Dental graduates (BDS), Graduates of AYUSH [Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Naturopathy & Yogic Sciences (BNYS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery(BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery(BSMS), Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)], BTech or BE (Any Branch) and graduates of four-year degree programs in Veterinary Sciences, Nursing sciences, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, or students with a postgraduate degree in Statistics/Biostatistics, Demography, Population Studies, Nutrition, Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Anthropology, Social Work, Management or Law may apply. Work experience in a health-related field is desirable.
    Age: 40 years as on 1st July 2018. Age relaxation may be given in exceptional cases.
  2. Eligibility Criteria for Diploma in Public Health (DPH)
    Minimum Experience required:
    3 years in Government service after MBBS
    Age: Up to 50 years as on 01 July 2018.

SCTIMST 2018 Application Form

The application form can be filled from the link provided on this page. Before filling the application form, applicants need to make payments for the application fee through SBI Collect website of State Bank of India. After fee payment, applicants can proceed to fill in details in the ‘Online Application’. In the online application form, provide personal details, educational qualifications, communication details, employment record. The application will have to be submitted online only.

SCTIMST 2018 Admit Card

Candidates who will be eligible for the entrance examination can download the Admit Card/Hall Ticket/Call letter from the official website The admit card for SCTIMST 2018 Entrance Exam will contain the name of the program, date, time as well as address for the examination centre. It is mandatory for examinees to bring their admit card to appear for the entrance exam SCTIMST 2018.

SCTIMST 2018 Selection Process

The entrance examination will be conducted for both MPH and DPH programmes and it will be followed by an interview round, selection will be based on performance of the candidates in both the rounds. The selection process for both the programmes are mentioned below:

  • For MPH:
    • Indian students: Prospective candidates will be evaluated on the basis of educational qualifications, professional experience relevant to the field of public health, written test (multiple choice questions) and an interview.
    • Overseas students: Selection will be based on educational qualifications, professional experience, assessments made by the sponsoring organizations and a
      telephonic interview. Applicants are required to submit two reference letters in sealed envelopes from experts working in the field of public health at the time of admission. Overseas candidates have to provide certification for proficiency in English.
  • For DPH: If there are more than 10 applications, selection will be based on the performance in written test (multiple choice questions) and an interview.

SCTIMST 2018 Interview

After the entrance examination candidates will have to appear in the interview round. The final admission will be given on the basis of the persormance of the candidate in both written test and the interview. During the interview the candidates must bring the self attested copies of the following documents:

  1. The application form.
  2. Receipt of the application fee payment.
  3. Document to prove the age.
  4. Caste certificate for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates (issued by Revenue authorities not below the rank of Tahsildar).
  5. No Objection Certificate in the case of employed/sponsored applicants.
  6. Certificates of accademic qualification.
  7. Certificates to prove experience.
  8. Registration Certificate for Medical/Nursing graduates.

SCTIMST 2018 Final Result

Candidates will be notified of their provisional selection immediately after the Entrance Examination on the official website of SCTIMST. The final selection list will be put up immediately after the interview is conducted. The final announcement will consist of the names of selected candidates (in serial order), wait-listed candidates (in rank order). The number of wait-listed candidates will not exceed that of the selected. The selection of candidates will be purely on merit, based on the methods of assessment indicated.

SCTIMST 2018 Fee Structure

The course fee includes registration fee, examination fee, tuition fee, library fee and charges for the computer lab. The course fee does not include the cost of books, stationery, field trips, dissertation and so on. Fee once paid will not be refunded. Fees are subject to periodic revision.
