NEET SS 2018 is conducted by NBE. The NEET SS 2018 is scheduled to be held on 06 July 2018. It is the national level entrance exam for admission to DM and MCh programs. Candidates who hold MD / MS / DNB by 15 July 2018 can appear and compete for the DM / MCh seats. NEET SS is called so because it is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty courses. Eligible and interested candidates have to first apply for the exam. Then they need to download admit card. After that one has to appear in the exam. Then on basis of result of NEET SS 2018, admission will be done. NEET SS 2018 Latest Updates

NEET SS 2018 Interventional Radiology has been included in the list of super specialty courses being offered through NEET SS 2018. Candidates who have already opted for Neuro Radiology through online application form shall be automatically eligible for Interventional Radiology as well and they need not make any changes in their application form. NEET SS 2018 Admit Card

Once the candidate has successfully registered and scheduled their examination only then the admit card will be issued to the candidate. The admit card will be mailed to the candidate on their registered email id. Candidate  is required to print a copy of admit card and affix a latest passport size photograph of the following specifications on the admit card.

On the day of examination candidates are required to bring a printed copy of the Admit Card with Photo of the candidate pasted on it. A photocopy of Permanent and Provisional SMC/MCI registration, to be retained by the test Centre and one of the authorized photo IDs such as PAN card, Aadhaar Card (With photograph), Driving License, Voter ID, Passport.

NEET SS 2018 Exam Scheme

The exam is being held in the month of July 2018. Here a few things the candidates should know about the exam:

  • The total number of questions asked in the exam will be 200.
  • The exam will be done in the online mode
  • The duration of the test shall be 2½ hours.
  • 25% negative marking for incorrect answers.
  • No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions.
  • A candidate can appear for only one specialty.
  • Test for General Medicine & Paediatrics specialty shall be conducted together. The test for rest of the specialties shall be conducted the next day.
  • A 15 min test tutorial will be shown before the exam.
  • Candidates should report at least 1 hour before the exam time.

NEET SS 2018 Results

The results will tentatively be announced in the month of July. Candidates placed at the 50th percentile or above shall be declared as qualified in NEET-SS in their respective specialty.Candidates who qualify the exam will be eligible to seek admission only in the year of 2018.

In case of a tie where two or more candidates obtaining equal score, the candidate with more number of correct answers shall be placed higher in the merit position and even then if the tie does not break age factor will be considered.

NEET SS 2018 Merit List

NEET SS 2018 merit list will be published by NBE. It will be a result-cum-merit list.There will be a separate merit list for General Medicine, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Pathology etc.

NEET SS 2018 Online Registration

The online registration form for NEET SS 2018 Exam is available on the NEET superspeciality official website from 11 May 2018. Applicants can find the link for online registration on this page too.

Here are a few things that the candidates should keep in mind regarding the application for of NEET superspeciality exam:

  • The forms are only available in the online mode.
  • Candidates are required to upload documents, photo and signature.
  • Registering for the exam does not guarantee admission.
  • Application fee will not be refunded once submitted.
  • Incomplete application forms will be rejected.
  • Candidates should go through the bulletin carefully for eligibility before applying for the exam.
  • Before registering candidates should ensure that they possess a postgraduate degree from an authorised college.

NEET Superspeciality examination is the gateway entrance examination for all Superspeciality  DM/MCh courses in India.NEET-SS is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination for various post graduation courses.As per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 w.e.f. 2017 admission session. Qualifying NEET-SS is compulsory for getting admissions in DM/M.Ch. Courses under various Universities/Institutions in the country.No other entrance examination, either at state or institution level, shall be valid for entry to DM/MCh Courses.

What’s new in NEET SS 2018

A latest notification, dated February 2, 2018, indicates a few major changes in NEET SS 2018.

  1. You can choose a maximum of two super speciality courses for which your broad specialty qualification is eligible.
  2. The new pattern of examination is that 40% of the questions shall be from the feeder broad specialty course and the remaining 60% shall be from the super specialty course selected.
  3. Another change is that NBE may club certain super specialities in which the number of seats offered are less.

NEET SS 2018 Scheduling

Candidates should schedule their test centers and test date online by logging in their registration details on the website before last date. Candidates need to successfully schedule their exam and date and top 3 exam centres along with the fees and uploading of documents to generate the admit card. At the end of Registration & Scheduling process, the applicant will get a computer generated acknowledgement at the registered email id of the applicant.

NEET SS 2018: Fee and Mode of Payment

The examination fee is Rs. 3750/-. It should be remitted through a Credit Card or a Debit Card issued by banks in India or through net banking.

  2. Is there any age limit to apply ? because i am 44 years old and almost passed 14 years after passing MS OBGY as i was serving for Govt. for 5 years and then practiced for 9 years in private.

  3. Is there any restriction for apearing in super speciality entrance test for repeater of PG MEDICAL qualified candidate?
