NEET 2018 Result Press Release Published
2:35 PM: Central Board of Secondary Education has published the official press release of NEET Result. Download here.
To make the candidates and their parents aware about the rules and regulations of the examination, candidates were sent at least 02 messages (SMS) per day from 30th April, 2018 to 6th May, 2018 on their registered mobile.
Approximately, 2 Crores SMS were sent to the candidates. A radio progamme on All India Radio was also organized on 3rd May, 2018, wherein all the modalities about the examination was aired and queries of the candidates replied.
11 candidates were identified using unfair practices in the examination. The result of these candidates has been cancelled or they have been debarred from appearing in the Medical Entrance Examination conducted by CBSE as per rule.
CBSE has adopted a transparent system wherein the scanned copy of OMR’s of all the candidates, their responses, Answer Key and Booklet Code was hosted on website in the candidate’s login accounts. Candidates were allowed to make challenges. Challenges received by CBSE were duly addressed before preparation of result.
The candidates can access their result on www.cbseneet.nic.in, www.cbse.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in. CBSE will also provide NEET result through DigiLocker at https://digilocker.gov.in/. NEET-2017 result will also be available on “Digilocker” website at http://results.digilocker.gov.in, a CBSE initiative in collaboration with DigiLocker. This is a mobile friendly website and can be viewed on mobile.
The Result of NEET-UG, 2018 has been declared on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India and also based on the information submitted by the candidates in their online application forms.
5 out Of Top 10 Rankers Are From Rajasthan
2 PM: Rajasthan state gets another reason to celebrate. Once again top rankers are from Kota, Rajasthan. All five students are reported to have studied at Allen Kota. Counselling expected to begin on June 12
1:15 PM: Now that NEET 2018 result has been announced, next order of business is the conduct of counselling. Now here, students must keep in mind that there are five types of counselling for NEET:
- All India Quota Counselling for 15% seats – handled by MCC
- Central Universities and Deemed Universities admission to MBBS and BDS courses – by MCC
- AFMC Medical Counselling – looked after by MCC
- ESI Medical Counselling for IP Wards by MCC
- State Wise Counselling for 85% seats in medical colleges in state – looked after by State Counselling Authorities. Candidates should stay in touch with state counselling authorities websites for more details. State wise merit lists will be released after a few days.
It is expected that MCC 15% AIQ seats counselling will start on June 12.

Result Of NEET 2018 To Consider Final Answer Keys
10 AM: The board had displayed answer keys from May 25 to 27 at cbseneet.nic.in. Candidates were allowed to submit challenges. As of now, revised answer keys of the exam have not been uploaded. However students are reminded that last time revised answer key was published after declaration of NEET result. So there are chances of a repeat of that happening this year also. Insofar, there is no indication of CBSE deeming any question in NEET 2018 as incorrect. If any question is deemed incorrect then the board will give bonus marks for it.
