Now comes preparation.

NEET PG 2019 will be held in January 2019 (as per reports insofar). So you have just enough time in hand to start preparing. If you start preparing today, you can definitely ace the exam.

Here are some tips that will be really helpful for you.

  1. Read your textbooks first.
  2. As you prepare a chapter, solve multiple choice questions simultaneously.
  3. Be regular with your MBBS classes. What you learn in classes is valuable and irreplaceable.
  4. Take notes as you study. They will prove to be life savers during revision.
  5. Have a list of good books ready by April-May and if you want to refer those books, start now.

Should we study from Harrison?

There are mixed opinions on Harrison. Undoubtedly it is an excellent book. But just like the same medicine may act on two people differently, so is the case with Harrison.

If you think you have time, then pick up Harrison and start reading from it. If you are able to understand from it and it helps, by all means, go ahead. However, if you quickly realise that you are unable to understand material from it, then refer to your textbook.

You should also talk to some of your teachers who have expertise in PG medical entrance exams and decide what would be a good study plan for you.
