There is a marking scheme as well for this exam. For every correct answer, the candidate will be awarded 4 marks. Every wrong answer will cost the candidate a negative 1 mark. It is to be noted that the there will be no negative marking for the unanswered question.
This exam pattern is as per the NEET PG 2018 Exam. Candidates can expect the exam pattern to remain same this year as well. They must keep this scheme in mind as well during preparation.

Starting from June, you have exactly 7 months to prepare. These 7 months have to be dedicated towards the preparation of this exam solely and no distraction should be there. The first thing that you must know is “How to divide these 7 months?”. Ideally, the first 4 months have to be dedicated entirely towards clearing the concepts as well as taking some tests for the exam as well. The remaining 3 months must be dedicated to giving the mocks and revising what you have learnt.

Now that we know the important topics of each subject that will come up in the exam, the next thing which you have to do is divide the time to each subject as per the difficulty level of each subject. The time allocation will also depend on the understanding level of the candidate as well i.e. how strong or weak are you on a particular subject.

The remaining 3 months have to be entirely dedicated to the revisions of all the concepts that you have studied. Although side by side revision must also be going on, at this point, it has to be extensive and rigorous. The revision must be done on a daily basis. It depends upon the student itself, at what time they wish to revise the topics. The usual preferred time is the early morning.
You will be fresh and if you revise at this point, you will be able to retain more. next important thing which you have to do is take the mock test. Ideally, the mock test should be started around August. Candidate must take around 15-20 mocks. This will give the students ample pratice and thus be able to perform well in the exam.
