The result of NEET-PG 2018 indicating the score obtained by each candidate has been declared by NBE on 23/01/2018. The All India NEET-PG 2018 rank i.e. ranking of a candidate amongst all the appeared candidates, shall be declared by NBE by 15/02/2018.

Tie-breaking in determination of the merit shall be done strictly in accordance
with the criteria mentioned in the Information Bulletin. NBE will also inform the candidates regarding the number of questions answered correctly and number of questions answered incorrectly at the time of declaration of All India NEET-PG 2018 rank.

NEET PG 2018 Result – Notification regarding answers marked for review

Pursuant to declaration of NEET-PG 2018 result, queries are being received at NBE regarding whether the questions marked for review have been evaluated or not for generation of the result.

The following marking scheme has been used for generating the score of every candidate:

  • Correct Response: 4 marks
  • Incorrect Response: 1 mark deducted
  • Unattempted Question: Zero

It is hereby clarified that the questions marked for review have been evaluated as per the above scheme for generation of the score.

In the instructions which were part of the question paper of NEET-PG 2018 it was explicitly mentioned that the questions which have been marked for review shall be evaluated.

NEET PG 2018 Result – Public Notice

The following notice has been published by NBE regarding declaration of NEET PG results. As can be seen, the cut off score is 321 for UR, 281 for SC / ST / OBC / SC-PH / ST-PH / OBC-PH, and 300 for UR-PH.

NEET PG 2018 Rank List

When we talk about merit list or rank list of NEET PG 2018, there are actually two different types of these. One is the merit position of rank that you see in the score card. The other is specific to the state where you will be appearing for state level counselling.

Types of merit lists are:

  1. NEET PG 2018 rank: It is your overall position w.r.t. all candidates who appeared for the NEET PG 2018 exam.
  2. NEET PG 2018 All India 50% quota rank: It is your rank w.r.t. all candidates who appeared in NEET PG 2018 for AIQ 50% seats. Important for AIQ 50% seats.
  3. NEET PG 2018 All India 50% quota category rank: If you belong to SC / ST / OBC, then you will also get this rank. It is your rank w.r.t. candidates of that category who have appeared in NEET PG 2018 for AIQ 50% quota seats.

As per the information brochure, result of NEET PG 2018 was supposed to be declared on January 31, 2018. However it has been announced on January 23, 2018.

Cut offs have drastically dipped!

As per exam analysis of NEET PG 2018, the exam was tough. Aspirants were further perturbed because NBE introduced negative marking. The result cut offs show a drastic dip in cut off as compared to last year. Do you think negative marking has caused it?

NEET PG 2018 Cut Off

The cut off percentile was already announced and now scores is also available. You need to score marks equivalent to the 50th percentile (UR) / 40th percentile (SC/ST/OBC) / 45th percentile (PWD). Marks corresponding to these percentiles have been made known now that merit list is compiled. You can compare them to last year’s cut offs also.

Why were there two cut offs last year?

The board reserves the right to revise cut offs if sufficient number of candidates do not qualify or in such similar circumstances. In accordance with Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India Notification F.No V.12025/18/2017-MEP dated 24th May 2017, the minimum cut off was revised last year. However the same is not guaranteed to happen again.

How to download the NEET PG 2018 Score Card?

The candidate can download the scorecard for NEET PG 2018 by following the instructions below:

  2. Next, candidates need to enter details such as Testing ID, Date of Birth, etc and submit the details.

NEET PG 2018 All India 50% Merit List

It is possible that you are eligible for admission to PG medical courses but your name is not in list of candidates eligible for counseling for All India 50% quota seats based on eligibility criteria provided by MCC/DGHS/MoHFW.

In that case, you nevertheless remain eligible for state counselling consideration.

State-wise NEET PG 2018 Merit List

NBE provides data of candidates and their marks in NEET PG 2018 to the state government counseling authority. While doing so, the board does not apply applying eligibility criteria of that state. The state authorities in turn publish state quota rank, state category rank, benefit for In-service candidates, rural posting (if applicable) as per applicable guidelines.
