NEET 2nd Counselling 2018 – Result of NEET 2nd Counselling has been announced. The students who did not get a seat in the first round counselling schedule can seek admission in this round as per new counselling schedule. Those students can attend the counselling either registered anew or who opted for the second counselling schedule during the first counselling process only. Who can attend the NEET 2018 2nd Counselling?

NEET 2018 2nd Counselling can be attended by those students who had appeared for the 1st Counselling Round but could not get the seat in that round. These students can appear for this round and fill fresh choices for the allotment. Also, there is a provision of opting for the 2nd round of Counselling willingly.

In the first round, if a candidate has opted Yes for Willingness for Upgradation in 2nd Round, then they are also eligible for the 2nd round of counselling. In this case, also, they will have to fill the fresh choices and the previously filled choices will stand cancelled.

The other cases when the candidate can appear for the 2nd counselling rounds are as follows:

  • Candidates who got the seat in the first round but resigned from that particular allotted college.
  • Candidates who were allotted seat in the first counselling round but did not join the college.
  • Registered candidates who secured the seat under reserved quota & whose 1st round of allotted seat got cancelled during the document verification on reporting for admission will be considered for allotment of seat in the next round of seat allotment, with changed Category, subject to availability of seat in the respective category

How will the counselling be conducted?

For the 2nd counselling round, the student has to fill the fresh choices for the allotment process. All the things will have to be done within the last date after which the student can not appear for the further processes.

The student who has already registered and paid for the counselling in the first round need not pay for the 2nd Counselling Round. 

Fresh registration will be available for the students in the case, they did not get themselves registered in the 1st Counselling Round. They will have to make fresh payments for the registration process. Fresh choices have to be filled and locked. This complete process has to be done in an online manner only.

Students must note that the choices will get automatically filled in case the students themselves do not submit their choices and submit. 

As soon as the result is announced for the 2nd Counselling round, the student has to report to the allotted college for the further admission processes. Here an important thing which the candidate has to note is that if they are allotted college in the 2nd round of counselling. they will not be allowed to leave or resign from the seat. They will have to compulsory join the college which has been allotted.

However, they will be able to leave in case they really want to leave that particular seat. If they do not want to join the college which has been allotted to them, they can leave the college after forfeiture of the security fee.

What is forfeiture of Security Fee?

Exit with forfeiture means if a candidate is allotted a seat in 2nd round of counselling but does not want to join the allotted seat, they can still exit with forfeiture. It means that they will not get the security money which they will deposit at the time of registration.

NEET 2018 Registration Fee

At the time of the registration for the 2nd counselling round, all the students will have to pay two kind of fee . It will be applicable for both Deemed University as well as for 15% All India Quota/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi) AFMS and ESI.   • For Deemed Universities
  1. Non Refundable Registration fee :- Rs. 5000/-(same for all candidates)
  2. Refundable Security amount:- Rs. 2,00,000/-
  • For (15% All India Quota)/ Central Universities (DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi)/AFMS & ESI
  1. Non Refundable Registration fee:- Rs. 1000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 500/- For SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH candidates.
  2. Refundable security amount:- Rs.10,000/- for UR candidates & Rs. 5,000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH

  6. Madhya Pradesh 2nd round neet counseling choice filling has started. It is asking to pay 1 lakh rupees for choice filling. If we are not allotted any seat, is the 1 lakh rupees fee refunded back to us?

  7. was allotted a college in 1st round state counselling in up ,have paid tution fees for it,also have done fresh choice filling for second round state counselling and have been allotted a college but if i do not want to join it will the tution fee be refunded ??
