What’s New In NEET 2019 Exam Pattern

Mode of exam changed: There is one change in NEET exam pattern 2019 as compared to last year, which is mode of exam. From 2019 onwards, NEET exam will be held as computer based test by NTA.

All the questions in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2019 by NTA shall be multiple choice questions, also referred to as objective questions. Candidates should refer best books for NEET 2019 to practise MCQs.

NEET 2019 Exam Pattern – Marking Scheme

Marking scheme of NEET 2019 computer based test will be as follows.

  • All questions of NTA NEET 2019 will be of 4 marks. If candidate marks correct answer in computer based test then he/she will get 4 marks.
  • If candidate marks wrong answer in computer based test, then one (1) mark will be deducted from overall score.
  • In the event of not marking any answer for the question, there will not be any deduction.

Above distribution is strictly followed. In biology, questions are asked from botany as well as zoology.

Although NTA is yet to publish NEET 2019 information brochure, still, as per speech of HRD Minister it is being assumed that languages of question paper will be same as last time. By that logic, the languages in which NEET 2019 by NTA will be framed are:

Qs. How to mark answers in NEET 2019 computer based test?

Ans. In computer based test format of NTA NEET exam 2019, candidates have to mark answers by clicking against option number. Mouse attached to computer has to be used to navigate to answer and to click it.

Qs. Can we change answers after marking them?

Ans. In computer based test format, it is feasible to change answers. In order to change answer, candidate has to deselect previously selected answer, and select new option that he/she wishes to mark. It is advisable for candidates to not mark any answer if he/she is unsure of it.

Qs. Can we jump between sections in NEET 2019?

Ans. It is expected that computer based test format will allow candidates to jump between sections.

Qs. Can a candidate appear for NTA NEET exam 2019 from home?

Ans. No. NTA NEET exam 2019 is a computer based test, not an online exam. Candidates are required to go to exam centre as assigned in NEET 2019 Admit Card.

Qs. Can a candidate change exam date / session if he or she could not attend NEET 2019 computer based test on assigned date?

About NEET 2019

NEET 2019 is the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test.     • Yes you can give both the examination if you are fulfilling the age eligibility criteria .. and counselling for the same will be done on the basis of your best score.
