NEET 2019 To Be Single Day Single Session

Here is a timeline of things that happened related to NEET 2019.

  • On 07 July 2018 NEET 2019 new rules were announced.
    • MHRD announced that for the first time, NEET 2019 will be in online mode (computer based test).
    • Also for the first time, the medical entrance exam will be by NTA, instead of CBSE.
    • As per new rules, candidates could appear either in NEET 2019 February exam or May exam, or both.
    • NEET 2019 February exam was supposed to be from 03-17 Feb 2019, and NEET 2019 May exam was to be from 12-26 May 2019.
    • NTA was to consider best of two scores as per NEET 2019 Result.
  • On 10 August 2018 it was reported that Ministry of Health has asked MHRD to roll back changes.
    • It cited that rural candidates will face difficulty in attempting online exams.
    • Also that class 12 students will come under lot of pressure if they attempt so many exams from February to May.
  • On 21 August 2018 news networks report that NTA will hold NEET 2019 once a year in offline mode.
    • Now new NEET 2019 exam date is 05 May 2019.
    • All NEET aspirants have to appear for NEET exam on single day in single session.

What is NTA?

National Testing Agency is an autonomous body formed by the Government to conduct NEET, JEE, UGC NET, CMAT, GPAT. Its core function is to organize entrance exams. By taking over responsibilities of CBSE and AICTE, it is helping in freeing up those bodies to focus on other educational matters.

NTA shall seek to hold NEET 2019 in a transparent, more secure and better manner than ever before. It will bring in international standards in the conduct of NEET exam.

What To Do After Knowing NEET 2019 Exam Dates?

National Testing Agency is conducting NEET 2019 in February and May. Important dates of NEET 2019 February and May exams are now available.   1. Suppose I get all india rank 250 in february exam………..and if another student gets all india rank 250 in may exam……………finally………….to whom will all india rank 250 be assigned??????to get admitted to college
