Initially, application form of NEET 2019 was supposed to be available from 1 to 31 Nov 2018 for NEET 2019 February exam, and in second week of March 2019 for May exam. However now that the exam will be only once a year, application form will also be only once.

Why have NEET 2019 Application Form dates changed?

This is because MHRD has rolled back changes in NEET 2019. Initially, NEET exam was supposed to be held twice a year.

The only change is that this year the new organization named as National Testing Agency (NTA) will hold NEET 2019.

NTA will release NEET 2019 Application Form as per new schedule for single day single session May exam. Candidates should apply for the exam after checking NEET 2019 eligibility criteria.

What is NTA? What are the changes in NEET and NEET 2019 Application Form because of it?

NTA is National Testing Agency. It has been formed as a society under Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860. The government decided to form a separate body to conduct exams of higher education so that CBSE could transfer that responsibility to it. So now, NTA will hold NEET exam.

No Changes in NEET 2019:

  • Initially NEET was supposed to be in online mode, twice a year.
  • However now once again NEET 2019 will be in offline mode, once a year.

No changes are anticipated in NTA NEET 2019 application form. In fact, it is confirmed that NEET 2019 application fee will not change.

Since HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar confirmed that exam fee will not change; therefore we can confirm that application fee for NEET 2019 will be as follows:

  • General and OBC: Rs 1400.
  • SC / ST: Rs 750.

    • You can study theory from NCERT and then refer reference books for in-depth studies. Also, use one for each subject for multiple choice questions.

  1. I appeard NEET Exam in 2017 and 2018. Can I appear again for both the chances of 2019? (February & may). Whether there is any chance restriction forbiding me to appear more than 3 chances?

    • NEET 2019 information brochure will be available in October, then eligibility will be clear. However you should probably be eligible.

  2. I was borne and brought up in Assam and completed by Class XII from Assam this year (2018) as my father has been serving in a PSU (Govt.of India) in Assam since long. My parents belong to Manipur. Please advise me whether I should apply for NEET from Assam or Manipur.

    • Lower age limit for all candidates = 17 years old (as on 31 Dec 2019)
      Upper age limit for UR candidates = 25 years old (as on date of exam)
      Upper age limit for SC / ST / OBC / PH candidates = 30 years old (as on date of exam)
