NEET 2018 Toppers – NEET 2018 Result was announced today, June 04, 2018 at 12:15 PM. After the much-awaited event, the toppers of NEET 2018 has been revealed. These are the candidates who have aced the examination with flying colours. We would like to congratulate NEET 2018 Topper Kalpana Kumari, she has secured AIR 1 and scored a total of 691 marks out of 720. Acing NEET is not a piece of cake, thus, we appreciate the hard work and performance of all the qualifying candidates. NEET is the national level medical entrance exam. It is conducted for class 12 students who wish to pursue medical programs. Central Board Secondary Education is the exam conducting body.

Kalpana Kumari has obtained the All India Rank 1 in NEET UG 2018 with 99.99 percentile. She has obtained 171 out of 180 in physics, 160 out of 180 in Chemistry, 360 out of 360 in Biology (Biology and Zoology). Overall her score is 691 out of 720.

After The Results – Now that the results are out, the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India will conduct Counselling for 15% All India Quota seats. While the remaining 85% seats will be filled by respective State Counselling Authorities. Thus, all the qualifying candidates can get all the details of NEET 2018 Counselling here. Highlights of NEET 2018

  • This year the number of candidates who are in the 50th percentile group are 6,34,897. Whereas last year the number of candidates who have qualified for the 50th percentile group were 5,43,473 in the general category.
  • After the NEET 2018 examination, many petitions were received by the NEET authorities regarding the shortage of regional language question papers like Bangla and Tamil language question papers.
  • This year as per the students, the Physics paper was lengthier than last year with an increase in the application based and calculative questions. Although, overall the paper was moderate.

Last year, a total of 611739 students qualified the exam. In the top 25 scorers, there were 9 girls and 16 boys. Also, Navdeep Singh from Punjab bagged 1st position with 99.99 percentile. Whereas Archit Gupta from Madhya Pradesh was the second topper, and Manish Mulchandani, from MP again, secured the third position.

Among the girls, the first topper was Nikita Goyal from Punjab. She had bagged AIR 8 with 690 marks. The second topper was Nishita Purohit and the third topper was Narreddy Manvitha from Andhra Pradesh.

  1. I have scored 358 marks, i’m frm kerala. My obc rank is 47814 and general rank 114150. Will i get a govt seat in any college in india

    • for other states candidates the AIQ has 15% seats reserved for them which means if you are from tamil nadu and if you apply for seats in karnataka, the candidates of karnataka will be given priority for seats as they have 85% seats reserved for them through state quota and other state students have only 15% seats for them. So my suggestion for you is to apply in your home state only for better chances of getting seats.
