How to check NEET 2018 Results?
There are multiple ways by which the aspirants can check their NEET 2018 result. To check it at cbseresults.nic.in, Follow the steps given below:
- Step 1: Click on the link to check the result of NEET 2018.
- Step 2: Click on the link NEET UG Exam Results-2018.
- Step 3: A new window will open. This will be the page to check the results for NEET 2018. Here the candidate has to enter the roll number and the date of birth.
- Step 4: Click on the Submit button. The NEET 2018 Scorecard will be in the front of the candidate. They can check all the details in it.

NEET 2018 Tie Breaking Criteria
In case two candidates are scoring the same marks, the position in the merit list will be determined according to the Tie Breaking criteria. Candidates if having a doubt regarding their rank in the merit list must read the below-mentioned criteria according to which their rank has been set.
- Candidates obtaining higher marks in Biology (Botany & Zoology) in the exam will be given higher priority.
- If the above case is not valid, the candidate who scores more marks in Chemistry will be given preference.
- Candidates with less number of attempted wrong answers in all the subjects in the Test will be given preference over the other one.
- If none of the above holds true, the candidate who is older in age will be given preference.
NEET 2018 Merit List
Now that the results of NEET 2018 are declared, a merit list will be prepared. The list will be prepared on the basis of the percentile marks scored by the candidates in the exam. Separate merit list will be prepared of the eligible and successful candidates who have opted for 15% All India quota seat. The counselling for 15% All India Quota seats will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
NEET 2018 Counselling
Students who have qualified for the NEET 2018 exam will be eligible to appear for the NEET 2018 Counselling process. It will be conducted in an online manner. Only the NEET 2018 qualified students will be eligible to apply for the counselling process. The counselling will be done separately for the 15% All India Quota seats and rest 85% seats for the state counselling. Separate merit list will be prepared for these. NEET 2018 counselling for All India Quota seats:
Counselling for All India Quota seats will be conducted for 15% of the total medical seats. Only those candidates will be eligible who opted for the All India Quota seat. They also have to necessarily secure a place in the merit list of AIQ as well. It will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee of Directorate General of Health Services. It will be conducted in an online manner. Candidates eligible for the counselling will have to visit the official website of MCC (mcc.nic.in)
NEET 2018 Counselling for State Quota seats:
The counselling process for the state quota seats of NEET 2018 is a little different from the counselling for NEET 2018 All India Quota seats. For the state counselling, CBSE will send the Result of the candidate to the DGHS. It will be further provided to the admitting Authorities of the particular state. The state Authorities will invite applications for Counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the Admitting Authorities subject to their applicable rules. The admitting/counselling authorities will draw merit list of the candidates in the respective categories declared by the candidates at the time of applying for admission/counselling based on State rules.
