CM Pinarayi Vijayan has directed collectors and police chiefs to arrange help desks at all major railway stations and bus stations to help out NEET students. The authorities have been asked to make sure that students in state and also those who are coming for nearby states have a hassle free commute.

The state is further trying to provide accommodation to all students with help of local people. In his messages on twitter, CMO Kerala says “In the back drop of many students traveling to other districts and students from other states are  coming here to write exams CM has asked authorities to take extra  effort in making their commute effortless, accommodation comfortable and  be ready to offer any assistance.”

CMO Kerala’s official twitter handle further says, “Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has directed collectors and police chiefs to arrange help desks at railway stations and main bus stands for students appearing for NEET exams on May 6th.”

CBSE is conducting NEET 2018 on May 6. Around 1500 students from Tamilnadu have got centres in other states such as Kerala, Karnataka, Rajasthan.

On April 17, which was more than two weeks before exam, CBSE hosted admit cards on cbseneet.nic.in. Admit cards were supposed to be available 21 days before exam, however, due to ongoing tug of war between NIOS candidates and authorities, the same were delayed.

With this as the backdrop, CBSE stated in its plea to SC, “There was no time to arrange more number of centres in the State of Tamil Nadu. However, in all other states candidates have been accommodated as per their choices.”
