NEET 2018 Paper Analysis of Physics
It is said that in NEET, questions in Physics commands exceptional calculation skills. From Class 11 Physics syllabus, most questions are asked from Kinematics, Oscillation and Waves, and Physical world and measurement. However, from class 12, most questions are asked from Current Electricity, Dual nature of matter and radiation, and Optics. Also, Physics is called the most difficult among the three subjects by the students. But experts do not agree. Last year they found Physics very average in difficulty level.
This year we have the following analysis for NEET 2018 Physics:
Percentage of Class 11 and Class 12 Questions: There were 24 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 21 questions from the 11th standard syllabus.
Difficulty Level of Physics Part: This section had 2 difficult questions, 9 moderate questions and 34 easy questions. In addition to this, there were many calculation based questions.
The difficulty level of Physics like every year was very high among all the 3 subjects. Candidates said this year too they faced difficulty in this part. Although, the difficulty level didn’t change. It was same as last year. The Physics section was based on calculations and thus it was time-consuming. Due to a large number of tricky and lengthy questions, this section was little difficult compared to others.
Maximum Questions: Most of the questions were from Mechanics and Electrodynamics.
Lets us take a look at the expert analysis of NEET 2018 Physics Section.
NEET 2018 Paper Analysis of Physics by Aakash Institute
According to Aakash experts, the analysis of Physics section is as follows:
This was the toughest section out of the three. However, this section was bit lengthy. There were 24 questions asked from the 12th standard syllabus and 21 questions from the 11th standard syllabus. This section had 2 difficult questions, 9 moderate questions and 34 easy questions. In addition to this, there were many calculation based questions.
This is the breakup of marks between different topics of the Physics section:
|Thermodynamics and Kinetic Theory||24|
|Optics and wave optics||20|
|Modern Physics and Nuclear Physics||16|
This distribution of marks ensured that the overall section was moderately easy.
