JIPMER 2018 Result will be announced on or before June 20, 2018. It is expected that JIPMER will in fact announce results of MBBS (UG) entrance exam in first week of June only. That’s because last year also JIPMER announced MBBS entrance exam result, nine days before the officially stated date.
Result of JIPMER 2018 shall be in the form of separate pdf files. Part 1 will have JIPMER MBBS entrance examination 2018 overall merit list in order of roll number, whereas part 2 will have the same merit list in order of ranks. Other than that, there will be a notice for shortlisted candidates for counselling of MBS courses 2018-19. This will be accompanied by JIPMER 2018 merit list, one each for UR, SC, ST, OBC, PUR, POBC, PSC, PST, OPH, POPH, NRI/OCI.

JIPMER 2018 is an online entrance exam. After the exam, its answer keys are not released. Instead, the result is announced directly.

The date if declaration of JIPMER 2018 result, merit list, rank letter is either June 20, 2018 or it will be before that. Official brochure states thus.
Last year, the entrance exam was held on June 4. Then result was announced on June 10. After that rank letter was released on June 15.
Cut off marks to qualify JIPMER 2018
You need to score a minimum marks in order to qualify JIPMER 2018. Only then you can participate in counselling. The qualifying cut off marks are as follows.
UR, OCI, NRI candidates need 50 percentile. UR OPH candidates need 45 percentile. SC, ST, OBC, SC PH, ST PH, OBC PH need 40 percentile.
Tie breaking for JIPMER 2018 Result
When two or more students get the same overall score, then, to differentiate their ranks, tie breaking is implemented. JIPMER defines a certain set of rules for tie breaking. They are:
The rule places higher is the one implemented first. Then if tie persists, the next rule comes into play.
- Negative marks: First of all, to break the tie, the institute gives higher rank to one who has fewer negative marks.
- Biology: One with higher percentile in biology section in JIPMER 2018 UG entrance exam gets higher rank.
- Chemistry: Then one with higher percentile in chemistry section in JIPMER 2018 entrance exam gets higher rank.
- Physics: If tie persists then one with higher percentile in physics section in JIPMER 2018 MBBS entrance exam gets higher rank.
- English language and comprehension: If tie still remains then student with higher percentile in English language and comprehension section in JIPMER 2018 gets higher rank.
- Logical and quantitative reasoning: Again if there is a tie then one with higher percentile in logical and quantitative reasoning section in JIPMER 2018 gets higher rank.
- Age:- If negative marks and percentile do not break tie then student who is older gets a higher rank.

Step 2:- See what PDFs and logins are available. There will be pdfs for overall merit lists, category wise merit list; and also a login for rank letter.
Step 3:- Check name and position in merit list. If result is announced like last year, then JIPMER 2018 Result will comprise of two lists. PDF 1 and 2 will be have overall merit list, roll number wise, rank wise.
Step 4:- If name is in merit list, download rank letter.
