Jawaharlal Institute of Medical Education and Research or JIPMER 2019, is an institute of national importance. It is under control by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Family Health and Welfare. JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019

The candidates who join the DM MCh course have to submit a plan of the thesis within three months of their joining. They will have to submit the final thesis and after it gets approved, they will have to appear for the final examination. The candidates who do not submit the thesis on time after the grace period will not be allowed to sit in the final examination. His or her session will be shifted by six months without any pay. JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance the entrance examination. They have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks to be selected for admission. The marks that will be scored by the candidate will be converted to percentile score.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Exam Pattern

Following is the information related the JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship examination:

  • The examination will be conducted through online mode only.
  • There will be separate exams of DM/MCh and Fellowship courses.
  • The duration of the examination will be 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  • Language of examination will be English only.
  • There will be a total of 100 MCQ type questions.
  • The candidates must go to the mock test that will be provided on the official website: www.aiimsexams.org

Marking Scheme:

  • For every right answer, 4 marks will be awarded.
  • For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.
  • No marks will be deducted for the answers marked for review.
  • No marks will be deducted for the unattempted questions.
  • The score that will be obtained will be the raw score. This score will be used to get the percentile score.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 How to prepare?

The candidates have come to the right place to get some useful tips that will help them prepare for the examination. These are given below:

  • Make a study schedule – The very first thing that needs to be done is making a study schedule. When you feel most active, study the hard topics first. Then you can go for the easy ones. And at the end of the day, you can revise.
  • Test yourself – At the end of the week or day, you can test yourself by looking at the questions and writing the answers in your own words and then match it with the answer to see what important points you missed.
  • Switching of topics – Do not study the same subjects for a long time. You must switch from subject to subject so that the studying feels less boring.
  • Reward Yourself –  If you feel less motivated to study and watching a movie instead or maybe read a book, you can set a target of completing 5 concepts per day. When you achieve the target, you can reward yourself.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Application Form

The candidates who want to get admission to the institute will first have to fill the application form which will be available on the official website. The candidates will have to go to the link “Apply online DM/MCh/Fellowship admission”. Before filling the application form, the candidates must read the prospectus. The candidates do not have to send a hard copy of the application form to the institute.  At the time of filling the application form, the candidates must note that he or she can only apply for any one of the following courses:

  1. DM
  2. M.Ch
  3. Fellowship Course
  4. DM and Fellowship Course
  5. M.Ch and Fellowship Course

The candidates have to pay a certain amount of money as application fee at the time of application form submission. Following is the last year’s category wise application fee structure. The new fee structure will be updated once it will be released.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Admit Card

The admit card for JIPMER DM MCh fellowship entrance examination will be available on the official website only. It will be available only to those candidates who have filled the application forms in all respects. To obtain the admit cards, the candidates will have to have to enter their login credentials. The admit card will contain the following information:

  1.  Name and date of birth of the candidate as per the application form filled by the candidate.
  2. Photograph and signature as uploaded by the candidate
  3. Examination center and roll number of the candidate.

Important information regarding the admit cards:

  • No changes will be made in the category, age, name or date of birth field under any circumstances. In such case, the candidates will have to fill a new application form before the closing date.
  • Request for correction or change of other fields in the application will not be entertained under any circumstances.
  • The candidates will not be allowed to sit in the examination hall if he or she doesn’t bring his/her admit cards along with a valid id proof in original.
  • The candidates are advised to keep their admit cards in good condition as will be required till the time of admission.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Test Centers

Important information regarding test centers:

  • The candidates can select only 3 test centers in the application form.
  • The test centers will be allotted on a first cum first serve basis according to the order of preference by the candidate.
  • Usually, the first test center is allotted. But depending upon the conditions, JIPMER has the right to allot any other exam center to the candidate.
  • The test centers once allotted cannot be changed under any circumstances.
  • In case if a particular test center is not available, JIPMER will re-allocate a new test center for the candidates who have chosen that city.
  • In case if a test center has been canceled due to some reason, then the same will be notified on the website. The candidates will be allotted new test centers by JIPMER.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Result

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the minimum percentile score i.e. 50%. The candidates who will obtain less than the percentile score will be ineligible for admission. Their names will also not be in the merit list.

The candidates who will qualify the examination will then have to appear for the certificate verification. The final list declaration after the certificate verification will be declared on the official website.

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the percentile score in each specialty. In each discipline, the total number of candidates who will be called for certificate verification will be 3 times more than the number of seats available in each of the discipline.

Note: Candidates must note that re-evaluation or re-checking will not be done under any circumstances.

Percentile Score

  • The marks scored by a candidate will be converted to percentile score.
  • A percentile score is a score of each candidate that will reflect what percentage of candidates have scored below that candidate in the examination.
  • It will be calculated using the following formulae:

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Certificate Verification

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019   Dates (Announced), Application Form, Syllabus

The candidates who will qualify for certificate verification must report at the venue at the time given by the conducting body. The process will start with biometric fingerprint and image verification. If there is a mismatch, then the candidate will not be allowed to attend the certificate verification procedure.

Following are the list of documents that need to be brought along with their copies at the time of document verification:

  1. Original Hall Ticket with Seal marked by Exam Venue Invigilator on the day of
    examination.
  2. Rank Letter
  3. Proof of Date of Birth
  4. Degree of the qualifying examination / Provisional Pass Certificate.
  5. Character and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institute last studied.
  6. Residence Certificate issued by Revenue Authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar
  7. OCI Registration Certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if applicable.
  8. Transfer Certificate.
  9. Migration Certificate.
  10. Permanent Medical Registration Certificate from Medical Council of India or State Medical Council of India
  11. Registration of Additional Medical qualification with M.C.I
  12. Service candidate should produce NOC / Relieving Order and a certificate granting study leave with or without pay as the case may be(If applicable).
  13. Four Passport size colour photographs identical with the photograph uploaded in the
    application.

Important Instructions regarding document verification:

  • It is necessary for all the qualified candidates to attend the certificate verification process.
  • No request for authorized representatives on behalf of the candidate will be entertained.
  • If the candidate fails to attend the certificate verification, his or her candidature will be canceled.

JIPMER DM MCh Fellowship 2019 Admission Procedure

The admission to the candidates is based on the merit list prepared and the seats available at the time of certificate verification. The documents that will be submitted to the authorities at the certificate verification process will be kept with them until the course is completed. The candidates who are qualified for admission must report to the Institute on the date and time given in the “admission letter”. Failing to do so will result in forfeiture of the admission. If any later stage it is found that the candidate has been given admission based on the false information provided by him or her, then his or her admission will be canceled and legal actions will be taken.
