The allotment list for the 85% DU MBBS Admissions for has been released. Counselling will be conducted by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in online mode. There is 85% seat quota for the students belonging to Delhi. The University of Delhi conducts the MBBS course in three medical colleges that are Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), University College of Medical Sciences (UCMS) and BDS Course at Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS). Only the female candidates are eligible to take admission in LHMC.
DU MBBS Admission 2018
The DU MBBS admission 2018 will be done by selecting the students in the counselling round. The Ministry does not conduct separate entrance examination for the admission MBBS/BDS courses under 85% Delhi Quota. The Ministry will utilize the rank / score of NEET UG -2018 conducted by CBSE. Therefore it is mandatory for the candidate to appear in NEET 2018 to take admission in DU for MBBS program. The duration of the MBBS course is 4 ½ years followed by the year compulsory rotating internship training in the field. Who are eligible for DU MBBS admission 2018
The University will set the eligibility norms for the admission in DU MBBS 2018. Only the DU MBBS Admission 2018 eligible candidates will be able to take admission in the course. The eligibility criteria for DU MBBS admission 2018 is mentioned below. Candidates must read the eligibility conditions carefully.
Age Limit – The candidates applying for the MBBS course in DU must have completed the age of 17 years before or on December 31, 2018. The candidate completing the age of 17 on January 1, 2018 shall not be eligible to take admission in the course. The upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2018. The age relaxation 5years of the upper age limit is granted to the candidates belonging to the reserved category (ST/SC/OBC).
Qualifying Examination– The candidates should have passed class 12th examination conducted by CBSE/ Council of the Indian School Certificate Examination/ Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi with required subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English from the recognized school.
Other than that, candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English separately and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC category candidates) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology”.
Other Eligibility Conditions:
- The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination Patrachar Vidyalaya or National Institute of Open Schooling will be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS courses under the 85% Delhi Quota.
- It is mandatory for the candidates to qualify the NEET UG 2018 examination conducted by CBSE.
- The candidates should be medically fit for the course of MBBS.

DU MBBS Admission 2018 Procedure
The admission to the course of MBBS in DU will be done through counselling rounds. The counselling process for the admission will be done after the declaration of the NEET 2018 by CBSE. All the details regarding the counselling will be updated on the official website at fmsc.ac.in The candidates need to fill the application form for the counselling round form the official website.
The candidates have to fill in the required details in the application form such as personal details, contact details and other important information. The scanned images of photograph and signature and thumb impression in appropriate format, dimensions and size.
DU MBBS Admission 2018 Counselling
The DU MBBS 2018 admission will be done through counselling based on the scores of NEET 2018. The steps of the admission process of MBBS DU 2018 are mentioned below:
- Candidates need to produce the admission ticket and the score card of NEET 2018 at the time of counselling.
- The admission to the course will strictly be made through the merit or the marks obtained by the student in NEED 2018 conducted by CBSE.
- The candidates will be called in the counselling hall in batches for counseling to allot a course (MBBS) in a particular college (LHMC/ MAMC/ UCMS/MAIDS).
- In the counselling round, candidates will be able to select only one course in any particular college. In the selected college, the candidates will be allotted seats and depending upon the number of seats in that college.
In case, two or more candidates obtain equal number of marks in NEET 2018. In that case, the candidate who have obtained higher marks in Biology/BioTechnology in the NEET -UG-2018 will get higher position in the merit list. If still the tie is not resolved then, the candidate who have scored higher marks in Chemistry in the entrance examination will get higher rank. If still the htie is not resolved then the age of the candidates will be taken into consideration and the candidate older in age will be placed higher in the rank list.
Surety Bond Money
The candidates who will be allotted seat in the counselling round of DU MBBS Admission 2018 shall have to pay a bond worth Rs.3.0 lac with two sureties. This will be done at the time of provisional admission. The admission will not be considered valid if the Surety Bond is not submitted by the candidate. Therefore candidates have to pay the Surety Bond amount to the institution or University. The details related to the Surety Bond will be available on the official website at fmsc.ac.in. The candidate will be issued admission letter by hand after the successful commencement of the counselling round. The students have to report to the concerned college on the date and venue that will be mentioned in the admission letter.
Documents to be submitted at the time of Counselling
The candidates have to submit the important documents at the time of counselling for the DU MBBS Admission 2018. The list of the documents is given below:
- Self attested copy of NEET UG 2018 Admit Card and score card
- Self-attested copy of Aadhar Card, class 12th marksheet and passing certificate
- Self-attested copy of class 10th for verification of date of birth
- Passport size photograph of the applicant
- Character certificate (self attested)
- Category certificate if in case candidate belongs to the reserved category (ST/SC/OBC)
- Self-attested copy of Father’s SC/ST Certificate, if applicable.
