Purpose of NEET 2018 Dress Code
CBSE has outlined the dress code for NEET 2018. In addition, there is also a list of barred items. So if any barred item includes accessories or are a wearable thing, then you cannot have those also.
You can wear
- Light clothes with half sleeves
- Sandals with low heels
That’s it. This is all that you can wear.
In simple terms, on the upper half of your body, you can only wear a half sleeved dress which is light. In the lower half you can only wear salwar or trouser. And on feet you can only wear slippers or sandals. You cannot and should not wear anything except these.
You cannot even wear shoes.
Oh, and also your dress should not have big buttons or brooches or badges.
All this might seem too strict, but it is only for the benefit of students.
In many entrance exams, cases of cheating are found where students hide chits or notes in jeans, frilly clothes, sleeves of shirts, sole of shoes. All these dresses that are allowed by CBSE are those in which it is difficult to hide anything.
Considering that the exam is in the month of May, when the temperature is quite high, it is also convenient to wear half sleeved clothes. Big buttons or brooches or badges are often used to hide communication devices, so those are also banned.
