AMU 2018 MBBS

Aligarh Muslim University offers MBBS course of 4.5 years duration. The course code is MBBS. There are 140+5. Candidates interested in taking admission to AMU to study MBBS must appear and qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. MBBS is taught at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College (JNMC). JNMC was established on October 2, 1962.

In the application form for AMU 2018 MBBS, you will also have to fill in NEET 2018 details. So first of all you should apply for NEET and then go to apply for Aligarh Muslim University. This is important also because you anyhow have to appear in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and only then there is any point of applying for admission to the university.

AMU 2018 MBBS Eligibility Criteria

AMU 2018 MBBS eligibility criteria is also applicable to BDS program. Criteria of eligibility are as follows.

  • You should have completed class 12 with physics, chemistry, biology and english.
  • You should have at least 50% marks in aggregate in physics, chemistry, biology.
  • Age limit: You should be at least 17 years as on 31 December 2018.

AMU 2018 MBBS Merit List

After candidates apply, the university will allot seats on merit-cum-preference basis. Only NEET 2018 Result (Rank) will be used for admission. Of course eligibility should also be satisfied in order to get admission.

AMU 2018 BDS

Aligarh Muslim University offers BDS course of 4 years duration. In addition there is 1 year compulsory rotatory internship. The course code is BDSB. There are 34+1 seats. Candidates interested in taking admission to AMU to study BDS must also appear and qualify National Eligibility cum Entrance Test. BDS is taught at Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College. It was established on January 1, 1996.

About NEET 2018

CBSE is conducting NEET UG 2018. It is a national level medical entrance exam. As per government guidelines, NEET is the only medical entrance exam in India which has to be used by all colleges and university for medical courses admissions. The only other exams except it are AIIMS and JIPMER. AMU cannot conduct separate medical entrance exam.

In this exam, there are 45, 45, 90 questions respectively on physics, chemistry, biology. Candidates can prepare for it as per the official syllabus.

From next year, NTA may take over the conduct of exam from CBSE. However for now, candidates will appear in the existing pattern only.
