It is a day of celebration for Ramneek Kaur Mahal from Punjab. She has bagged AIR 10 in the NEET 2018 Exam. The results of NEET 2018 were declared today i.e. June 04, 2018. It was expected to be released by June 05, 2018.
Out of total 720 marks, she has scored 680 marks, thus getting 99.999134 percentile. She shares this percentile with two other students Ankadala Anirudh Babu and Madhvan Gupta. They have got 8th and 9th rank respectively.
Ramneek was a student of Allen Kota’s Distance Learning Programme. We congratulate her for this achievement in NEET 2018 Exam and wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
7,14,562 students have qualified for the NEET 2018 Counselling. Out of these candidates, 3,12,399 males, 4,02,162 females and 01 transgender are there who have qualified for the counselling rounds. The process to allocate the college to the qualified students will begin from June 12, 2018.
English and Hindi language have dominated the NEET 2018 Exam even though the paper was available in 9 regional languages. English and Hindi combined had 12,07,465 takers which approximate to 91.02%. Whereas 1,19,260 students opted for regional languages making it at 08.98%.
3,27,575 OBC Candidates have qualified for the NEET 2018 Counselling Process. The other numbers in the list of qualifiers include 2,68,316 unreserved category students, 87,311 Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates and 31,360 Scheduled Tribe (ST) aspirants.
Now that the results have been declared, the next step for the candidates is the counselling process. NEET 2018 Counselling process will begin on June 12, 2018. The counselling will be for All India Quota Seats which forms 15% of the total seats and the state counselling seats which form 85% of the total seats.
The seats for which the NEET 2018 Counselling will be conducted are as follows:
- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical/ Dental Colleges or any Private/
- Central Pool Quota Seats
The counselling for All India Quota seats will be conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Only those candidates will be eligible for the AIQ counselling who registered for it during the application process and are NEET 2018 Qualified. The details of the counselling will be available on the official website of MCC.
For the state counselling, each state might conduct their own admission process. They will release their own merit list for the counselling. This list will be prepared as per the date which CBSE will send to them. The students will have to check the state’s official website for all the important dates and information.
NEET 2018 Exam was conducted on May 06, 2018. Taken across 136 test centres around India, 13,26,725 candidates registered for the NEET 2018 Exam. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is the conducting authority of NEET 2018 Exam. It is conducted for admission to the MBBS and BDS courses across the medical colleges of India.
