AIIMS PhD 2019 Final Result
There are three stages for selection to the PhD course. The first and second stage is the test and the third is departmental assessment. First, the result of the test will be declared. Then the second stage will be conducted and the final result will be declared which will be the combined result of stage I, II and stage II. The candidates will be selected for the admission on the basis of the following criteria:
There are two stages in the admission process:
Stage I: In the first stage, a 30 marks test will be conducted. This stage will include MCQs based on Aptitude, English, Biostatistics, Research Methodology etc.
Stage II: In the second stage, a 40 marks test will be conducted which will include theory based MCQs.
Stage II: The candidates who will get a minimum of 35 marks in stages I and II combined, will qualify for the next stage, that is departmental assessment. The marks obtained in the stage III will be combined with stage I and II to prepare the merit list.
Note: 10 Marks will be added to the candidates who meet the following criteria:
- The candidate is eligible for stage III.
- The candidate has a Medical Degree/M.Sc
Method of Resolving Tie:
If two or more candidates obtain same score then candidate who is older in age gets a higher position in merit list.
Marking Scheme for Stage I and II
- For a correct answer, candidates get 1 mark.
- For a wrong answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted.
- There will not be any negative marking for unattempted or marked for review questions.
