AIIMS, New Delhi has published will now publish the status of the application form of AIIMS PG 2018 July on April 18, 2018. The candidates can check the status online at aiimsexams.org or through the direct link provided on this page. The entrance test will be held to offer admission in MD/ MS/ M.Ch/ DM/ MDS courses, offered by 7 AIIMS. The online exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 06, 2018. The merit list is prepared on the basis of percentile score calculated and candidates are called for counseling round on the basis of rank in the merit list. The score of AIIMS PG July exam will be considered by AIIMS Delhi, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur, and Rishikesh for admission. AIIMS PG 2018 July Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of AIIMS PG July 2018 has to be fulfilled by all the candidates. It is as mentioned below.

Qualification: You must have completed MBBS degree or BDS degree to apply for MD/MS or MDS, respectively. The degree must be obtained from the college or institute recognized by the Medical Council of India or Dental Council of India.

  • You should have completed a compulsory rotatory internship and have a certificate stating the same on or before July 30, 2018.
  • You must have obtained the minimum aggregate marks in MBBS/ BDS Examination.

AIIMS PG 2018 July Application Form

To appear for the entrance exam, you have to register yourself on the exam portal of AIIMS. To register as a new candidate, you will be required to enter all the personal details and details of id proof. Thereafter, you will be asked to provide valid mail id, mobile number, and address. This is necessary as you will receive candidate id and password on it. Also, it will be used for all future communications.

Now login to your account and complete the application form by providing educational details. After completing the form, you have to pay AIIMS PG 2018 July application fee by Online Mode. To know the amount that you have to pay, refer the table below:

AIIMS PG 2018 July Exam Pattern and Syllabus

There will be one paper which is going to be conducted for admission in AIIMS.

For applicants willing to get admission in MD/MS courses has to attempt the paper of 200 marks. On the other hand, candidates opting for MDS will be required to appear for the paper of maximum marks 90. Paper for both the courses will be of objective type (MCQ).

For every correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark and negative marking of ⅓ will be done from the total score for every wrong answer marked.

AIIMS PG 2018 July syllabus will be on the basis of subjects that you have studied in qualifying exam. If you are appearing for MD/MS entrance test, you have to attempt the questions from the subjects taught in MBBS. However, if you are appearing for admission to MDS, questions asked will cover the subjects of BDS level.

AIIMS PG 2018 July Admit Card

The admit card will be issued on the official website on the date stated in the schedule. It is going to be issued only for the candidates whose status on the registration form is accepted. In case the status of admit card is not available on the website, you must immediately email the query to the Assistant Controller of Examinations, AIIMS, New Delhi stating your name, candidate id, subject for which you have applied and other important information mentioned in your registration form.

AIIMS PG 2018 July Cut Off

The minimum requirement to be eligible for admission in 7 AIIMS is that the candidates should be among 50th percentilers. This has been decided by the Governing Body, AIIMS on September 14, 2013.

The percentile for the examination will be decided on the basis of maximum marks scored by a candidate in the paper. The percentile score is generally converted up to 3 decimal places to reduce ties. Anyhow, if there is still a tie then it is resolved with the following method:

  • The applicant who has higher aggregate marks in the qualifying exam will be preferred over the one with lower aggregate marks.
  • If the aggregate marks are also same, then the candidate older in age is preferred over the younger age.

AIIMS PG 2018 July Merit List

On the basis of marks obtained by the candidates, merit list will be prepared. The rank of the candidates will be decided considering the percentile score and after resolving the ties if any. Candidates whose name appears in the merit list will be called for counseling. The admission will be granted on the basis of merit-cum-choice.

How to Resolve Tie

If there would be any tie situation, then the candidates will be selected according to:

  • Higher Percentage Marks in MBBS/BDS Professional Examination. The candidate with higher marks will get the higher rank.
  • If the candidates will get equal marks in professional exam, then the tie will be broken according to the date of birth. The older candidate will get preference for a younger candidate.

AIIMS PG 2018 July Counseling

Candidates appearing for the online PG counseling round needs to exercise their choices as provided to them.The link to set preference will be provided on the MyPage of the website. After clicking the link, an applicant will be redirected to a new page where they have to register for online counseling and set a password. Once logged in, the candidate can participate in the process of choice making. He/she first have to select the seats on which they want to get admission and then lock it. After locking, they must take a print out of selected choices for future reference.

The final seat allotment will be done on the basis of choice made by the candidate and the rank in the merit list. The allotment of seats will be done for AIIMS, New Delhi and six other AIIMS colleges across the country.

The mock allocation of seats will be done and the list will be displayed on the website. Again the portal for choice re-shuffling will open for all the eligible candidates. The first round of allocation will be done on the basis of choices frozen after the mock allocation. The final allocation list for the first round will be displayed on the website.

After the allotment of seat, a candidate has to deposit original certificate and the attested copies along with demand draft of the amount specified. If a candidate doesn’t want to get admission to the allotted seat, must refuse the seat by logging into the account. Also, he/ she will be required to deposit the original documents and demand draft to participate in further rounds of counseling.

  • Admit card issued by AIIMS
  • AIIMS Rank letter
  • Marksheets of MBBS/ MDS course
  • Degree certificate of MBBS/ MDS

  • Permanent/ provisional registration certificate issued by MCI/ DCI/ State Medical/ Dental Council
  • Birth certificate for proof of date of birth
  • SC/ ST certificate, if applicable
