AIIMS MBBS 2018 Minimum Qualifying Marks refers to minimum marks required to be considered eligible for admission. Cut off of AIIMS MBBS 2018 is least marks at which candidate got admission.

AIIMS, New Delhi announces the result for MBBS entrance exam in June. Along with the result it also releases AIIMS MBBS cutoff. The cut off is based on many aspects like number of candidates appeared in the entrance examination, number of seats available, difficulty level of AIIMS MBBS.

According to the information brochure of AIIMS MBBS 2017, candidates belonging to General category will have to secure a minimum of 50% marks to qualify in AIIMS MBBS 2018, while a candidate belonging to SC/ST category have to obtain a minimum of 40% and candidates belonging to OBC category have to score at least 45% marks.

Number of Seats and Reservation

From this year, AIIMS Delhi has announced 100 seats for Indian Nationals and 7 seats for Foreign Nationals for admission to MBBS course. Also out of these, 8 seats will be reserved for Scheduled Tribes, 27 seats for other backward classes and 50 seats for General category (Indian Nationals). Note that there will be more seats since now there are AIIMS New Delhi and 8 other AIIMS instead of 6 other AIIMS.

NOTE: A 3% reservation of seats will be provided to Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped on Horizontal basis.

AIIMS MBBS 2017 Minimum Qualifying Marks Cut Off

The minimum cut off required for various categories to determine eligibility for admission are mentioned below:

Tie Breaking Procedure

The AIIMS MBBS 2017 overall merit or ranking will be based on the Percentile scores of the Total Raw Scores. The method adopted for breaking ties shall be:

  1. Biology: Higher Percentile scores in Biology will result in higher ranking
  2. Chemistry: If Biology Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Chemistry will result in higher ranking, if biology percentiles do not break the tie.
  3. Physics: If Biology and Chemistry Percentiles do not break the tie, higher Percentile scores in Physics will result in higher ranking, if physics percentile do not break the tie.
  4. Age: If all these methods do not break the tie, the older candidate will be given more preference.
