What is Percentile Score?
The percentile scores are the score which is calculated on the basis of candidates appeared for the exam and their relative scores. This score is basically prepared by transforming the score into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each group of candidates. The Percentile Score indicates the percentage of candidates that have scored equal to or below that particular Percentile in that examination. The maximum percentile score is 100. So the highest and lowest scores will be converted to appropriate Percentiles.
Here is the example of 100 candidates appeared in the exam and their respected percentile. The process is given below:
- If your percentile is 100 then it can be said that the candidates who have appeared for the exam have secured the percentile equal to or less than you.
If the percentile or obtained marks will be equal then they will get the priority according to age (Date of birth). The older candidate will get preference over the younger one.
