AIIMS 2019 Application Form
From this year onwards, AIIMS has started the new registration process which is known by the PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration). It’s a two stage registration process first one is Basic Registration and Second is Final Registration. Candidates can apply for AIIMS 2019 through AIIMS Application Form 2019. Eligibility To Appear In AIIMS 2019
In order to be eligible to appear in AIIMS 2019, candidates need to fulfill minimum criteria. The same is explained below.
- Candidates should be at least 17 years old as on 31 Dec 2019.
- Those who are born on or after 02 Jan 2003 are not eligible.
- Candidates should have passed 12th with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects with minimum aggregate marks.

AIIMS 2019 Exam Pattern
The first thing you should know is the exam pattern of AIIMS 2019. Before we proceed, you should be aware that the All India Institute of Medical Sciences publishes an information brochure to notify about AIIMS MBBS Admission and AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam, which will be available for the 2019 AIIMS entrance exam in the second half of the year 2018. So the exam pattern and other things you read about here are as per the last available official brochure. Even so, the exam pattern usually remains same year on year, and at least to flag off preparations, knowing this should be a good starting point.
Coming to the AIIMS 2019 Exam Pattern, you should know that it is an online test or computer based test.
In a computer based test, the student goes to the test centre and is allotted a computer. There, he/she has to log in with login details provided. As soon as test begins, instructions appear on screen and questions come one by one. The student has to select answers by clicking a radio button next to the options given.
Multiple choice questions and Reason assertion questions come in AIIMS MBBS Entrance Exam.
An MCQ is where a question is followed by 4 options, out of which one is correct. In a reason-assertion type question on the other hand, a statement of assertion (A) is followed by a statement of reason (R). There are four options. First, if A and R are true and R is correct explanation of A. Second option is that A and R are true but R is not the correct explanation of A. Third option is that A is true but R is false. Fourth option is that A and R are false.

AIIMS 2019 Syllabus
The official brochure says “The general standard of the Competitive Entrance Examination will be that of 12th class under the 10+2 Scheme/Intermediate Science. No syllabus has been prescribed by the Institute for the examination.”

AIIMS 2019 Result
AIIMS 2019 Result will be declared at aiimsexams.org. It will decide the fate of close to 4 lakh students regarding their admissions to AIIMS.
As exam is held in more than one shifts thus normalization will be implemented.
Normalization for AIIMS 2019 Result
Step 1 – Calculation of percentiles.
- On basis of correct and incorrect answers, you get raw score. Then raw score is converted to percentage. After that, percentile calculation is done. This is how:
Step 2 – Merging of shifts
- In step 1, percentile is calculated for each candidate in each shift. Then these lists are merged in step 2, to make a single list.
Step 3 – Tie breakers
- Wherever required, tie breaking is implemented.
This is how normalization is done and AIIMS Result is arrived at.
AIIMS 2019 Cut Off
Candidates must obtain minimum cut off score in the AIIMS MBBS 2019 entrance exam in order to be considered eligible for counselling and admission. Cut off per category is as below.
- General category candidates: 50%
- OBC category candidates: 45%
- SC/ ST category candidates: 40%
- PWBD candidates: cut off of respective category.
AIIMS 2019 Counselling
Once the result is out, qualified candidates can attend AIIMS 2019 Counselling for admission. Key features of counselling are as follows.
- Counselling is centralized and online for AIIMS New Delhi, Bhiopal, Bhubaneswar, Guntur, Jodhpur, Nagpur, Patna, Raipur, Rishikesh.
- Number of candidates called for first counselling will be 4 times number of seats in each category.
- Qualified candidates can participate in online counselling at aiimsexams.org.
- Admission will be awarded in all 9 AIIMS institutes on the basis of merit obtained in AIIMS MBBS 2019 Entrance Exam.
