AIIMS 2018 Counselling: Information Brochure for the 2nd Round of Online Seat Allocation/Counselling for AIIMS MBBS-2018 has been released. The counselling process is conducted after the results have been announced and the merit list has been prepared. Only the AIIMS 2018 qualified students will be eligible to appear for the counselling process. The qualified students will be called for the counselling based on the ranks obtained by them in the AIIMS 2018 Merit list. The counselling will be conducted for admissions to the 9 AIIMS across the country. The AIIMS 2018 Counselling is the important step for the students who have qualified for the counselling. The important dates for the first round of counselling of AIIMS 2018 has been released. The candidates who are eligible to appear for the first counselling round must take note of all the important dates for the counselling rounds. AIIMS 2018 Cutoff
The students who have given the exam will have to secure a minimum cutoff in the exam to be eligible for the counselling process. Only then the student will be eligible for the online allotment process. Have a look at the minimum cutoff for different categories.
- General: 50%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 45%,
- SC /ST: 40%.
AIIMS 2018 Merit List
For online counselling, separate merit list will be prepared. The merit list will place the students as per the percentile scored by them in the main exam. They will be called for the counselling based on the ranks obtained by them in the merit list.

- Scheduled Tribe candidates list
- Other Backward Classes candidates list

AIIMS 2018 Counselling
AIIMS 2018 Counselling will be conducted for the AIIMS 2018 qualified students. To qualify for the counselling process, they will have to score a minimum percentile as mentioned in the prospectus. If a candidate scores the minimum or more than the minimum percentile, they will be eligible for the counselling.
The counselling will be conducted in an online mode. For each category, i.e. UR, OBC, SC & ST, the total number of candidates eligible for the counselling will be 4 times the
number of seats available in each category. The counselling will be as per the choice fille by the qualified candidates and the rank obtained by them in the merit list.
AIIMS 2018 Tie-Breaking Criteria
During the merit list preparation, it might be possible that the two students have secured the same percentile in the AIIMS 2018. In that case, the merit of the student will be prepared according to the tie-breaking criteria as set by AIIMS. It is as follows:
- Out of the two candidates, if one obtains higher marks in Biology in the Entrance Examination, then the first will be given preference over the second one.
- One who obtains higher marks in Chemistry in the Entrance Examination will be given preference in the merit list. in case the first one is not valid.
- If the second criteria are not valid, the candidate obtaining higher marks in Physics will be given higher rank in the merit list.
- If none of the above holds true, the candidate who is older in age will be preferred more in the merit list than the younger one.
